Care Line Volunteers
We are recruiting for care line volunteers to take calls on our national 24 hour care line.
Calls come in from anyone needing emotional support from diagnosis of a blood cancer onwards and all the way throughout their journey.
These calls vary and can be from patients, their carer's, family or friends needing emotional support, a listening ear or signposting to other organisations as necessary.
We need volunteers who can offer some of their time at weekends or evenings to answer calls on our care line.
Offering a listening ear, being empathetic, understanding, patient, informative and helpful in working out exactly what is needed.
Previous telephone experience is beneficial and a caring nature in understanding what anyone who has been diagnosed with a blood cancer is going through.
We are looking for volunteers who can offer either evenings or weekend shifts.
